The coldfusion administrator is a complete browser based application which is made for user access to administrator API and performing server operations. Till the edition of coldfusion 8, coldfusion administrator was secured by only a single user password and later on the facility of sandbox and services restriction by IP address was provided.

There are many parts of coldfusion administrator API like -

Allowed IP addresses - enter client IP addresses to access/revoke services

In the administration page, which is divided into two parts - coldfusion administration and root administration. In both of these partitions, authentication is provided to every user by providing following methods -

  • By providing a single password only.

  • In case of multiple of users, providing a separate username and password.

  • No authentication also be provided.

In the root administration page, only a single password utility is provided to the user. It is done via the coldfusion installation. CLick at the submit changes completes your task.
